Christina Applegate wurde gestern bei den “Do Something Awards” für ihr soziales Engagement und ihre Charity-Arbeit ausgezeichnet.
Hier ein Auszug aus ihrer emotionalen Rede:
It took something for me to have to go through to bring breast cancer awareness for younger people to the forefront.
There are things that all of us care about whether it’s the oil spill, homelessness, or the mistreatment of the elderly or animals that don’t have homes.
These are things we can all do something about. It doesn’t take money, it doesn’t take resources, it just takes us putting down our Twitter and Facebook and getting to work.
Christina war sogar so nervös gewesen, dass sie ihren Preis fallen ließ. Zum Glück ist nichts kaputt gegangen
